Who Cares?

Has God put you through the refining fire? Have you suffered trials that have produced a heart of compassion for others and a greater love for your merciful, gracious, all-powerful God? Have you built your life on God's promises, because you trusted Him to carry you through? Then, it sounds like God has produced in you the qualities that we need in our iCare Servants.

HandsForChrist.com iCare Servants need to know how to answer the tough questions that hurting people ask. In response to a painful, "who cares," you can honestly say, "I Care, and so does Jesus." You can point people to the scriptures that give life. You can encourage them to lay hold of the promises of God. The promises that they can put their trust in-no matter how awful things may look for them at the moment.

As an iCare Servant, you will have weekly contact for 60 days with someone who is looking for spiritual encouragement during a time of personal crises or spiritual need. This connection will occur through encrypted confidential messages originating from this site. When you sign up to volunteer as an iCare Servant, we will assign you someone who is looking for support, a listening ear, and words of hope. He or she will be able to contact you only through this site, so everyone's privacy is protected.

This servant ministry is ongoing for as long as the person is requesting support; however, after 60 days your Recipient can be reassigned to a new iCare Servant if you so desire. Drawing from your own experiences and the insights God has given you regarding Him, His character, His love, His promises, and His Sovereignty will equip you to speak truth that will encourage this person's life.
